I'm a freelance writer that loves blogging and writing non fiction and fictional pieces to share with those who'll listen. I've had a passion for writing since I learned to spell - if you don't believe me you should check out my journals starting from when I was in the 2nd grade.

I’ve also worked for my family’s small general contracting business for over 9 years as the office manager handling the books, social media, and marketing. After meeting new customers and handling their questions and concerns, my blog was born. It helps to keep me on my toes with what’s going on in the local construction industry and about what people want and need.

I'm an outdoorsy type and head outside whenever I get the chance to go hiking or snowshoeing with my dog in tow. I even scoop up my laptop from time to time and hunker down in the grass or on my favorite boulder in the pasture when it's time to get to work writing.

I live on a small hobby farm surrounded by family which is great considering my love of animals and my ongoing interest in getting to know each animal's personality and what makes them do the things they do.

Besides writing, one of my biggest passions is organic vegetable gardening - something my grandparents instilled in me as a child. Every year I plant a huge garden with more veggies than I could possibly eat alone.

That's why I got into canning and preserving and have a freezer full of veggies. My friends and family and the food pantry in town make out pretty well come the end of summer as well.
